Berlin based but born in Madrid in the 90’s, Raul Alvarez is a sound engineer and music producer involved in different projects during the last years with several releases on diverse international labels such as Toolroom , ARTS or Symbolism.
Since 2018 he is the engineer & studio manager at MONOM, the latest cultural endeavour from DVS1, an experimental performance venue and spatial sound studio with a cross-grid of 48 omnidirectional speakers and 9 underfloor subs (designed by 4DSOUND at Funkhaus Nalepastrasse).
He worked for artists such: Jean Michel Jarre, Aphex Twin, Oneothrix Point Never, JLIN, Lotic, Puce Mary, Drew McDowall or Varg but his sound is influenced by the first steps of electronic music and developed with a different soul.
Raul Alvarez work evolves from an old school reminiscence to an experimental and futuristic approach. Adapting venues, multichannel systems and custom designed instruments.
