We are excited to announce the new album by Theo Komp on Elektrotribe Records, as part of our series of special releases celebrating the 20th anniversary of the label. An influential artist who helped shape the last two decades of Elektrotribe, Theo Komp is also the man behind Minimal Force Records and legendary Sunday events in London. Luckily for us, he’s been back in studio to turn out 10 new tracks of energetic techno bliss.

“Se Ta Mas” is an album that takes you on a journey: oscillating between industrial techno, crossing into psychedelic territories, weaving in traditional style balkan vocals, and landing in the chill out zone. This album reflects the traces of Theo Komp’s musical influences and gives us a singular vision of the kind of techno that only he could create.

Fresh yet familiar, “Se Te Mas” is a blend of new approaches and classic sounds. In fact, some of the tracks are older projects that were revisited and reworked. “If we’ve shared dancefloors sometime in the past, a few of them might already sound familiar,” Theo says.

Back in the days of those legendary Minimal Force parties, Theo Komp’s music was described as “balls-to-the-wall techno.” He describes it as “like the sound of falling down the stairs, chin first.”
