We are excited to welcome the Amsterdam-based duo Mythikas to Elektrotribe.
Mythikas signed their debut EP for Elektrotribe on the occasion of the 20 anniversary of the label.
The duo is known for their releases on Skryptom, Diffuse Reality, KR Records and as the founders of Olympus Records.
Their latest EP “Dodecahedron” is a multifaceted soundscape of four new hypnotic techno tracks.
“Desktop Funkin” set the tone with a groovy beat cuting through atmospheric etheral layers and bubbling percussion sounds. It\u2019s an unexpected mixture doing magic on the dancefloor. “The Coral Tower” follows with an afterhour-style chord and a deep, almost dub kick bass. The eerie sounds seem to fly around your head with mischievous chord lines. This track that would do wonders to close a set with a hypnotic vibe. “Silk Binders” follows with an intriguing kick bass pitched up and down, some siren wails, and metallic tones surrounding your headspace. The EP closes on a special edit of \u201cDesktop Funkin\u201d leaving the 4\/4 at home for an unleashed rythmic ride.
